THE VODKA
Zorokovich 1917 Vodka contains world quality winter wheat.
The water is pure and natural, springing from an artesian well beneath the village of Douboviazovka on the freezing snow planes of north eastern Ukraine.
The thick black earth in the region yields strong and vibrant harvests, vast fields of wheat swaying in the breeze as far as the eye can see.
Only the finest of ingredients are selected for the preparation of Zorokovich Vodka; the distillation process is arcane, old fashioned and looks like early Jules Verne, but the copper still yields spectacular results. All of this combines to create a vodka of unparalleled character.

Tasting Notes
by Ian Wisniewski – one of the country’s foremost spirits experts. Author of Classic Tequila, Classic Vodka, Classic Malt Whisky, Party Cocktails, Party Drinks and The Classic Whisky Handbook.
Nose: Rounded and fresh, with aniseed, a hint of fresh white bread and underlying grain notes.
Palate: Soft, elegant texture with mellow sweetness, becoming richer and rounder with lightly creamy aniseed and underlying grain notes coming to the surface, garnished with a hint of mellow spice.
Finish: Sweet-dry balance with grain notes and underlying creamy aniseed.
The bottle is made in Ukraine with a logo designed by Bob Brown and overall design by Hilary Powell in final collaboration with Roman Faustov of Dankodecor, Ukraine through use of sign language and google translator. The swallows (used previously in the Optimistic Immigrants events organised by Dan and Hilary alongside the making of the film ‘How To Re-Establish A Vodka Empire’ are inspired directly by the Grandmother Maroussia’s writings – of black wings all over the sky and the dream and reality of migration.
